Bride diary part 2

Ok so what have I done lately...

Had my first dress fitting - I did not want to take it off. It is so beautiful and I cannot wait to wear it on the day. Now for the dilemna of whether to have a small veil at the back or not...

Chose my flower girl dress - well she chose it really. She is very excited to wear it so I know she will smile therefore she can have whatever dress she wants! Lol! However I must show my distress at the fact that shops seem to believe that if you are under 12 then you want a pink fluffy thing for a dress. I think at the age of 7 you know the difference between cute and fluffy, and proper bridesmaid!!

Gift list went live! Eeeek! This is undoubtedly the hardest part of the wedding planning process. It is so difficult to know what to put on the list and I hate expecting people to buy presents - I'd rather everyone just came to the wedding. However I am extremely grateful for the generosity of the people who have bought so far. I feel very very special and loved!

I have begun to make the favours - let's face it, they are more for my benefit than for the guests, I just love being creative and silly! This is what my whole wedding is going to be like. We also went through songs we could potentially have played in the evening. I apologise to our poor neighbours because yes we did sing every song that we read the name of or that popped into our heads, and we are not the best choristers in the world!

We have finally decided on our bible reading. There are just far too many good readings. We have decided upon the Song of Solomon to compliment the non-bible reading of Les Miserables. Woohoo!

This week brings the joys of Menswear measurements and Mother of the Bride fittings.
